XERODERMA PIGMENTOSUM - An inherited childhood skin eruption characterized by multiple pigmented spots (resembling freckles) and larger atrophic lesions, eventually resulting in a glossy white thinning of the skin. Telangiectasias and multiple skin lesions can undergo malignant change (to skin cancer) when exposed to UV light (sunlight).
