SUPERIOR VENA CAVA SYNDROME - A narrowing or obstruction of the superior vena cava. Symptoms include facial swelling, arm swelling, neck swelling, headache, dizziness, fainting, and reddening of the face and palms. This may occur secondary to cancer or other inflammatory conditions (tuberculosis, histoplasmosis).
