SIDE EFFECTS - Any undesirable effect that is attributable to a drug other than it's desired therapeutic effect. Some side effects are considered minor, but some can be life-threatening. Side effects that occur with an incidence of 1% or greater (1 out of 100 patients on the drug) are usually considered to be causally related to the use of that particular medication.
