SCROMBOID - A poisoning that occurs after consuming a specific type of fish that is not physiologically related to ciguatera fish poisoning. Scombroid poisoning results from excessive histamine ingestion. The symptoms of scombroid poisoning include flushing, sweating, itching, and headache. Antihistamines medications may be therapeutic.
