REFLEX SYMPATHETIC DYSTROPHY - A syndrome of pain and tenderness, usually to a hand or foot, associated with vasomotor instability, skin changes, and rapid development of bony demineralization (osteoporosis). Frequently will follow a localized trauma, stroke, or peripheral nerve injury.
