PAROTITIS -
Inflammation
of the
parotid gland
either from
infection
with a
virus
(
mumps
) or
bacteria
(
Staphylococcus
). Symptoms include facial pain, swelling, and tenderness. A
fever
and an unpleasant taste in the mouth is also common.
