OSTEOCHONDROMA - A benign cartilaginous neoplasm that consists of a pedicle of normal bone with a rim of proliferative cartilage cells; often occurs near the ends of long bones; multiple osteochondromas are inherited and referred to as hereditary multiple exostoses.
