OBSTRUCTIVE LUNG DISEASE - A form of lung disease that manifests as acute, or chronic, narrowing or blockage of the smaller airways in the lungs, causing increased resistance to airflow in the bronchial tubes (e.g. asthma, silicosis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease from smoking).
