NASAL POLYPS - Outgrowths of the mucosa lining the nasal and paranasal sinuses. More common in those with chronic allergic rhinitis or sinusitis. Large nasal polyps can interfere with nasal breathing and are often removed surgically to improve breathing and decrease chronic allergic symptoms.
