LENS DISLOCATION - Blunt trauma to the eye may interfere with the structures which support the lens. The lens usually falls backward into the vitreous cavity, although it may prolapse into the anterior chamber. In either case the visual acuity is markedly reduced. Emergent treatment by an ophthalmologist is required.
