KLINEFELTER'S SYNDROME - A chromosomal abnormality (XXY) which is caused by an extra x chromosome, affecting only males. The infant appears normal at birth, but the defect usually becomes apparent in puberty when secondary sex characteristics fail to develop. Infertility is common.
