IMMUNOFIXATION - A special laboratory technique that is used to identify specific proteins in the blood or urine. It has greatest application in the identification (and monitoring) of monoclonal proteins that are produced in conditions like Waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia and multiple myeloma.
