HYPOTHYROIDISM - A condition that is characterized by the underproduction of thyroid hormone by the thyroid gland. Examples include Hashimoto's thyroiditis. Symptoms include cold intolerance, thin, dry and brittle hair, weakness, muscle weakness, hyporeflexia, and low body temperature.
