HIB VACCINE - A vaccination that is given to infants to protect against infection with Hemophilus influenza b, an important cause of neonatal sepsis. Typically administered at 2, 4, 6, and 15 months. Children who are aged 15 months to 5 years, who have not received the vaccine, should be given a single injection of hemophilus b conjugate vaccine.
