HEPATITIS - Inflammation of the liver. Often secondary to the effects of alcohol, drug side effect, viral infection, or a toxin. Symptoms include weakness, malaise, jaundice, right upper quadrant abdominal pain, and nausea (occasional vomiting). May be contracted sexually (hepatitis B), by mouth (hepatitis A), or from a blood transfusion (hepatitis C).
