H1 ANTAGONISTS - A substance which exerts a pharmacologic action by specifically blocking the H1 histamine receptors. These drugs are usually used to treat symptoms associated with allergic conditions. Examples include olopatadine eye drops for allergic conjunctivitis. H2 antagonists block another specific type of histamine receptor, known as the H2 receptor.
