GIANT CELL ARTERITIS - An inflammatory condition of the temporal artery. Common symptoms include headaches and tenderness over the temple (temporal artery). Findings include an elevated erythrocyte sedimentation rate. Can be associated with polymyalgia rheumatica. See polymyalgia rheumatica.
