GALLBLADDER ATTACK - Inflammation of the gallbladder. In 90% of cases the inflammation results from the presence of gallstones in the gallbladder. Common symptoms include right-upper quadrant abdominal pain (may radiate to back or right shoulder), nausea, vomiting, fever, and more rarely, jaundice. Many patients complain of recurrent abdominal pains ("attacks") that can be alleviated by the surgical removal of the gallbladder.
