EMBOLI - Material, usually blood clot [but may be fat, bone fragment, nitrogen bubble, or bullet), that travels through the circulation, eventually obstructing blood flow through a smaller caliber vessel (e.g. stroke, pulmonary embolism, central retinal artery occlusion).
