DERMATOMYOSITIS - A disease of connective tissue characterized by swelling, dermatitis, and inflammation of muscle tissue. Symptoms include fever, malaise, difficulty swallowing, general weakness, muscle weakness (pelvic and shoulder girdle muscles), and skin and mucosal lesions.
