CONJUNCTIVITIS - Inflammation of the conjunctiva. Often caused by infection, allergies, or irritant exposure. Symptoms include red eyes and discharge. Colored discharge points to a bacterial infection. Eye pain occurs more commonly in viral conjunctivitis. Treatment includes antibiotic eye drops in most cases.
