CERVICAL CANCER - Once one of the most common forms of cancer-related death in women, cervical cancer is now diagnosed at an early stage due to the widespread use of routine PAP smear testing. Risk factors include early age of onset of sexual activity, multiple sexual partners, a prior sexually transmitted disease, human papilloma virus (HPV) infection, and lower socioeconomic group.
