CARPAL TUNNEL RELEASE - An orthopedic surgical procedure which relieves the pressure exerted on the median nerve within the carpal tunnel in the wrist. This surgery may be performed conventionally via a small incision or using a fiberoptic scope (endoscopic carpal tunnel repair).
