CARDIOMYOPATHY - A condition whereby the hearts pumping function is weakened. Cardiomyopathy may occur secondary to obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, alcohol abuse, heart attack, heart valve dysfunction, drug toxicity, or viral infection.
