CARBONIC ANHYDRASE INHIBITORS - A group of medications (sulfonamide drugs) which inhibit the enzyme carbonic anhydrase. These medications are used in the treatment of glaucoma. Examples include acetazolamide, dichlorphenamide, and methazolamide.
