ANTIFUNGAL - A class of medications that work by either killing or inhibiting the growth of fungi. Antifungal agents are available in systemic (oral and IV) and topical forms (creams, ointments, and suppositories). Examples include griseofulvin, ketoconazole, fluconazole, itraconazole, amphotericin B, ciclopirox, clotrimazole, econazole, flucytosine, miconazole, oxiconazole, terconazole, tioconazole, and terbinafine.
